This Site

Bluedette is the design portfolio of an aspiring digital designer named Adrianne Marie. This site contains some of her best work, primarily from her past class projects as well as for her personal pleasure. She hopes to have a chance to actually enter in the digital designing field, whether if it was from web designing, graphic designing, or anything that is digitally creative. For now, this is a display of her works, as well as her small side business as a freelancer.

Web Design

Although this new medium of web designing is fairly new this particular medium became my favorite, as well as this would be my "strongest" among all the mediums of digital designing. Even if I do not consider myself an "official" web designer and some of my site designs are not quite up to par to professional standards, I am constantly still learning in both designing and development. Nowadays, anyone can learn how to create their own webpages if they have enough time and patience to do so.

The following below are samples of websites that I have created in different categories. I may have saved some screencaps of my past layouts but I still have yet to get all of them together and post them here when I can.

Commissioned Projects

  • Manny Fernandez for City Council of Union City
    Type: City Council campaign website
    The reason why I uploaded this in my domain instead of the old URL because the old URL was long expired. This is actually my very first commissioned project for a family friend who was running for our town's city council seat (this was actually his last time). Though the site is very simple-looking the content and the message were more than enough to have the candidate win a seat in the City Council. It was a triumphant day for all of us, candidate and campaign members!

Personal Projects

    Type: personal site/blog
    This is my personal site. Although I'm using a modified default template rather than an original design on my own I do plan on updating the layout itself. This is powered by a powerful blogging program known as Wordpress, in which I still feel that I need to master its complicated templates and other types of weird plugins.
  • Cherry Bomb
    Type: Personal websites directory
    This site was actually passed on to me by someone else who no longer has the time updating it. It's been more or less a success however it needs major updating, with the structure markup invalid and everything. I'll eventually get to redesigning it one way or the other.

Class Projects

  • Golden Coast Journeys
    Type: Travel Agency website
    This is my first class project that involves creating a website. Unfortunately our assignment required us to create a website using Macromedia (Adobe) Dreamweaver, therefore the structure markup here is questionable. Please keep in mind that this is a class project back when web structure markup validations and accessibility issues were not on the rise yet. Also, not much CSS in this one...
  • The Green Garden
    Type: Gardening service website
    This is my second class project, again using the "benefits" of Dreamweaver, but this time with CSS and a bit of multimedia incorporated in it. Again, like the first one, the structure markup is not validated and I'm pretty sure there are accessibility issues on this one as well.
  • Blue Scrambler Communications
    Type: Digital Design Portfolio
    Also known as Bluedette version 0.5, this was the original layout before Bluedette was born. Structure markup was not validated here since this was our final project for the Visual Communications program in college.
