This Site

Bluedette is the design portfolio of an aspiring digital designer named Adrianne Marie. This site contains some of her best work, primarily from her past class projects as well as for her personal pleasure. She hopes to have a chance to actually enter in the digital designing field, whether if it was from web designing, graphic designing, or anything that is digitally creative. For now, this is a display of her works, as well as her small side business as a freelancer.

There is no such person as a "perfect" web designer. I know it. You know it.

It is the reason why I have this section because everyone knows that it can take at least two or more heads to complete an effective website. Without the following people and other resources, I would feel that the only thing upgraded in this portfolio site is the design itself and not the rest of the web standards that most web designers are being uptight on.

  • RJ for helping me out with the the web standards & validation issues with CSS & XHTML bit. The first version of this site was completely in Transitional mode and using a Strict DTD just makes this site a lot more compatible with most (if not all) browsers.
  • Chris for testing my portfolio in Linux-based & Apple-based browsers such as Konqueror & Safari. He truly helped me out reassuring that this portfolio looks and functions exactly as I wanted it in non-Windows based browsers.
  • Jem & Tutorialtastic for writing up secure PHP-based scripts, snippets, and other easy to follow tutorials. I got my form script from these sites as well as other tidbits of this site's markup.
  • Perfection Gallery for giving me a bit of inspiration on the designs that are a part of that gallery. It's a little ironic that I'm giving credit to an elite web clique in which I'm not even a part of, but on the other hand we haven't seen as many elite web cliques as of late. I used to despise them in the past, but lately due to the change in web standards I'm seeing some of these web cliques in a bit more positive light.
  • I know there are others that I have forgotten, but if I do end up remembering them I'll be sure to post them up here.

For one thing, web markups such as (X)HTML, CSS, and PHP belong to all the aspiring designers and developers of web sites and portals around the world. The only thing that I claim here is the design and majority of the contents that define this site, but in terms of some image sources, tips, tricks, and other helpful tutorials, they are listed below...
