about this site...
This site has been created as a major final project for the Visual Communications program at the
American Intercontinental University, in which I have earned my formal training and my BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree in Visual Communications (Digital Concentration). On the other hand, I have been planning to open a site where I can showcase my work, primarily on my digital artwork and design. I still have yet to sort out my "traditional" art (mainly calligraphy and drawings/doodles) and still have yet to put them on the screen. This site will expand as time goes, but for now, this is what I have as of this moment.
"blue scrambler"....?
The million-dollar question pops out here--- what is "blue scrambler"? Where did you get that name from? To answer both questions, I'm a bit peculiar of sorts. My favorite color is
blue, therefore I used the word "blue" in the name. It's also primarily the reason why the whole site is all blue. Although the meaning of "blue" is the usual "sadness and melancholy," the color could also mean peace and tranquility, as well as coolness. I lean more towards the cool, peaceful, and tranquil meaning of blue than the "melancholy and sad" meaning. "Scrambler" was something that I just picked from the dictionary and never really thought of the meaning until lately. The root word "to scramble" means "things are mixed/bundled up together as one." Since I like to mix different design styles with one another and still make it look like a work of art, I thought of it as "scrambling" different styles together. Therefore, I came up with the tagline:
all styles scrambled!. I think the name pretty much describes what I love to do altogether.
Although, even if my favorite color is blue, it doesn't mean that all of my designs will always be blue. That's just a personal thing of mine when I do my personal projects. Anything professional and/or commercial projects will be completely different from what you see here right now. The turnout of the design will depend on the subject and theme of the project. Think eclectic!
about me...

Hello! I'm
Adrianne Marie G. Padua, the owner, creator, and designer of
Blue*Scrambler Communications! For many years I've always been interested in art, but for some apparent reason I do not seem to have some kind of an "artistic" aptitude in traditional art. I can't paint and I can't draw really well (not like those professional artists do, that is). The only type of "traditional art" that I could do (which I haven't really had the time at the moment) is calligraphy, and slowly getting in to
sumi-e painting (Japanese brush painting). The only problem is that purchasing all these materials to create artwork costs money. My parents, who always encouraged my younger brother and two sisters, as well as myself, to get in to something artistic and not always be "technical" all the time. It was enough they spent their money on my brother's musical instruments and my sisters's drama and music programs during childhood years that they had to "limit" their spending on me-- the "wanna-be" fine artist. Thus, pretty much, I've learned to create and appreciate the fine arts entirely on my own with no other influences.
My self-learning also includes digital graphic and web designing. I pretty much learned everything on my own, even if I did take a couple of classes back in my old college and eventually returned to university level again on a full major program and earn my degree. My wish for now is to do some freelancing at first to get the feel of the communication and relationship between designer and client. After creating websites and graphic design for the past eight years for my personal hobbies, I really do think I'm ready to enter the freelance/corporate world, creating sites and graphics and participating in major design projects as a way of life.
Other than graphics and web designing, I also have other interests. I love to read, write fiction (well, fanfiction, but fiction nevertheless...), photography (digital photography that is...), watch movies (they're art too--- but I'm picky...), music in general (except country, "hardcore" rock, and heavy metal--- I really can't get in to them...), and travelling. I also like the Hip-hop culture, '60s Pop Culture, and Asian Pop culture (mainly Japanese pop culture (which includes anime and manga) and some Filipino pop culture). I am fluent in 2 languages (Tagalog (Filipino) and English) and proficient in 2 more languages (Spanish and Japanese). For more information, please visit my personal website (coming soon!) at
